About
April 13, 2010 started as an ordinary day. But on the way to meet a friend for lunch, Kathryn and her 3 children were in a horrific vehicle accident in which her middle daughter, Anne (5 at the time) was critically injured. Anne survived but sustained a severe traumatic brain injury.
In the days and months following the accident, the Jackson family maintained a CaringBridge site for Anne. Thousands of people have followed Anne’s road to recovery and prayed for the family as Eric and Kathryn have chronicled their journey.
Kathryn continues to work as Anne’s full-time care giver and mommy to her three children. She loves to study and teach God’s word.

Kathryn,
Let not your heart be troubled. God has many plans for Anne which we are not aware of yet. I know you miss her, as do I, but God intends greatness from her in another way and maybe she could not be that shy, timid, Anne we knew and still accomplish what God has in store. He also has a plan for you and as I have found in my life, sometimes suffering causes greater growth and a more profound sense of what Christ endured. I cannot make the sadness go away but I can tell you that for me Anne’s accident has brought me so much closer to Christ and made Him so much more real in my life. You know I am always here whenever the sadness gets too great or you just need some time off from the harsh reality of the burden of caring for everyone. Know that I care about you and you are not alone.
Love in Christ,
Miss Debbie
Good words “Miss Debbie.” What would we do without you? Thank you!
I love Anne! She has given me patience and more patience. :) My day begins with her reaching out to me, “Mrs. Bush may I have a hug?” She is part of my family, my daughters ask about her everyday. Believe me there is always s great story. I LOVE HER!!
